Particle accelerators have become a powerful tool for the diagnostics of materials in many research fields. This paper describes the AMS-IBA (Accelerator Mass Spectrometry – Ion Beam Analysis) facility installed at CEDAD-Center for Dating and Diagnostics of the University of Salento, Italy and some applications in Archaeology, Environmental Sciences and Materials Science.
